Recipes

Don’t know what to cook? Need ideas for a meal? Or perhaps you don’t know how to use a certain vegetable we grow? For any amateur cooks or aspiring chefs out there, hopefully I can help with that. I am no great cook or Michelin chef by any means, but I have done my fair share of experiments and research.

Here are a couple of recipes I have compiled together. They are not my own but ones that I have followed many times and would recommend you trying.

Mille-Feuille Nabe – A Thousand Leaves Hot Pot

Perhaps many of you are wondering how a French dessert became a gourmet dish? Well, to be honest I’m not sure either, but regardless this tastes delicious!

Use our tuscan kale and tong ho in this recipe! This is where I tell you guys how to use tong ho, one of the many Asian greens we grow. Just simply add a few leaves to each layer of this recipe (which you will learn how to do) and you’re good to go! It’s as simple as it sounds. This recipe DOES NOT include tong ho but I have seen many others use it.

Tong ho has a pungent taste and very strong aroma, like how coriander is, so be mindful of how much you use just in case your hot pot is overpowered.

Have fun cooking!

Pumpkin Soup

Try this recipe with our vegetables. The only ingredient we don’t grow ourselves are potatoes, so I bought some from Home Food Products, a stall at the Farm Gate Market. Give them your support too!

I also substituted ordinary potatoes with sweet potatoes because it was all I had on hand and it worked perfectly!

Carrot Cake

Use our carrots in your carrot cake! I find that store bought carrots aren’t as sweet or juicy but if that’s not what you’re after, then it’s okay. On the other hand, if you’re after a carrot cake that is super moist, then use this recipe along with our carrots.
